NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Today, Friday, the schedule was altered a little bit.

Grade 5 & 6 took up their homework and discussed the corrections. It is always interesting to listen to their interactions with their peers. The more they can explain the rules of grammar to each other the more they know.

Grade 1/2 did a medley of vocabulary and worked with the question: 'Quoi de neuf?. They understand the circumstances in which it is appropriate to use.

JK & SK started to work the alphabet in French and had fun to recognize the letter of their first name.

Grade 3 & 4 are very excited with their ability to tell numbers in the millions and billions. Mrs Burke and Mr. Playford were more than impressed.

Grade 7& 8 students are putting their last work period to good use to polish their projects.

Since they will soon be skating, I read them 'Encore un but'. They used 'la patinoire, les patins, le casque...' They were very quick pointing out a few safety issues presented in the story. We have really smart children.
