NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER

Grade 3/4 They started the day with singing Christmas songs then, the students wrote sentences with their favorite Christmas characters (from the hand puppet). So they had: bonhomme, père Noël, sapin, renne et lutin. The table who could sing one of the 5 songs won house points. Yay! Table 1.

Grade 7 The students followed a grid with words and had to make sentences. This was followed by a reading of Pauvre Anne. We have now completed up to chapter 8.
Grade 8 had a lesson on Futur Simple. It is suggested that the students review this thoroughly as these verbs require different endings. For practice, they have to make 15 sentences about their projects for the Christmas break.

Grade 5/6 We are almost done with the unit and today's work was on the partitive used with the negative: ne...pas de...
Wednesday, they will have their t-shirts and transfers ironed.

Grade 1/2 Today, we mixed Christmas with the names of shapes. Interesting! The students are still singing and using their holiday vocabulary.

JK/SK The children sang, recalled holiday vocabulary and had a colouring session. They had a great conversation going around the table about colours and everything they could name and locate on the activity sheet.
